Put the people in the left list and the jobs in the right. Add your own names, classroom roles, party jobs or a household to-do list. Each task line is one assignment, even if two lines use the same label.

Tasks or roles
Your next possibility is one spin away.
Every task is assigned once. Counts differ by at most one task. With fewer tasks than people, nobody gets a second task and some people receive none.

Pin a pair to keep it, then reshuffle the unpinned tasks. Unlock a row to include it again. A new assignment may match the previous one.

Press Assign all tasks. The two wheels reveal one sample pair; the table shows the whole completed draw. Check the count beside each person, including anyone with zero tasks. Long labels remain readable in the table.

Need a random role generator for a lesson, workshop or game? Try facilitator, note-taker, timekeeper and presenter. Use as many roles as people for one role each. Make the groups first with the random team generator, then paste their names here. This tool assigns responsibilities; it does not judge who is best at them.
Who takes out the bins this time? Add the people at home and the jobs you have agreed to share. This chore wheel creates a complete allocation, so you can pin the cooking assignment and shuffle the remaining housework. For one quick job suggestion, open the single chore wheel. Start a fresh list when the jobs change.
Seven tasks and three people produce counts of 3, 2 and 2. Pinned pairs are included in that balance. The draw uses browser randomness and respects those pins; it balances the number of tasks, not their duration or difficulty. It does not track who did a job last week. Agree on suitable tasks before drawing.
Your settled result and editable lists stay in this browser when storage is available. Reloading during an animation keeps the previous completed result. Save a public link to find the snapshot in My wheels, copy the table as text or download a PNG with every row. Shared results record the browser's draw; visitors can reshuffle their own copy without changing yours.
Repeated task labels are allowed: two “Wash dishes” lines mean two separate jobs. People need distinct labels, such as “Alex A” and “Alex B”, so you can tell who received each job.
No. Each draw is random within the balance and pin rules, so a previous pair can appear again. This is not a weekly rotation planner. If you only need one person, try the random name picker.
